Venus Viva™ Skin Resurfacing in Courtenay & Campbell River

Improve skin texture, reduce visible imperfections, and reveal smoother, healthier-looking skin with Venus Viva™, an advanced non-surgical skin resurfacing treatment suitable for all skin tones and all seasons.

Why Choose Venus Viva Skin Resurfacing?

Venus Viva™ may help improve concerns such as scars, enlarged pores, stretch marks, wrinkles, rosacea, and other skin conditions that affect texture. Treatments are considered safe for all skin tones and can be performed year-round.

What Is Venus Viva Skin Resurfacing? / How Does Venus Viva Work?

Venus Viva™ is an advanced, non-surgical skin resurfacing treatment designed to improve overall skin texture. It combines NanoFractional Radio Frequency (RF)™ and SmartScan™ technology to help improve skin texture and support skin resurfacing.

Venus Viva™ uses tiny pins to safely deliver heat through the skin’s surface via NanoFractional RF™. This creates micro-dermal wounds, which the body then heals naturally. That healing response supports the repair of visible skin damage on the skin’s surface.

Because the wounds are very small, the treatment is generally more comfortable than some lasers or more aggressive chemical peels, with less downtime.

Venus Viva FAQ

Before and Aftercare Advice for Venus Viva Treatments

Post-treatment redness is usually mild, and you may return to your regular daily activities immediately. You may experience mild heat in the treated area. This is a normal part of the body’s natural healing response. Do not apply ice or cooling compresses.

Moisturiser: Apply moisturiser regularly throughout your treatment series. It may be used immediately after each treatment. Your provider will go over the best post-treatment protocol with you.

Makeup: Mineral-based makeup can be applied 24 hours after treatment. Do not sleep with makeup on the treated area.

Avoid the sun: Avoiding direct sunlight should become a permanent component of your long-term skincare program. Always use a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or greater, even on cloudy days, regardless of the season.

Long-term skincare: In addition to avoiding direct sun exposure, we suggest all clients use medical-grade skincare. We offer clients a program for long-term facial skin maintenance. This program provides a skin maintenance and rejuvenation system tailored to you and your skin’s needs, available only through our team.

have a question?

A single treatment session usually lasts between 90–120 minutes. The number of sessions in a treatment program depends on the individual patient, but typically ranges from 3–4 sessions spaced every 4–6 weeks.

Most people experience some redness after treatment but can usually continue with normal daily activities afterwards.

Makeup can generally be worn 48 hours after treatment.

Venus Viva™ may be an excellent choice if your main concern is skin texture. Venus Viva™ may be suitable if you want to improve:

  • Acne scars or other structural scarring
  • Enlarged pores by tightening the surrounding skin matrix
  • Orange-peel skin texture
  • Stretch marks

Skin Tone Advantage: Unlike many traditional ablative lasers, Venus Viva™ is cleared for a range of skin types because it uses radiofrequency energy rather than light beams. It may carry a lower risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation than some traditional laser treatments.

Venus Viva™ is a medical-grade treatment. You should not have this treatment if certain contraindications apply.

Contraindications may include:

  • Active medical implants: You have a pacemaker, internal defibrillator, or any other active electrical implant.
  • Local implants: You have permanent implants, metal plates, screws, or injected substances in the specific treatment area.
  • Active skin conditions: You have rashes, open sores, psoriasis, eczema, or active acne in the treatment area.
  • History of poor healing: You tend to form keloids or have a history of abnormal scarring.
  • Heat-triggered conditions: You have a history of Herpes Simplex (cold sores) in the area and have not taken a prescribed preventative antiviral medication.
  • Recent procedures: You have had cosmetic injections (neuromodulators or fillers) in the last 2 weeks, or facial/eyelid surgery in the last 3–6 months.
  • Recent medications: You are currently on blood thinners or have taken NSAIDs, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, within the past week.
  • Pregnancy or nursing: You are pregnant or breastfeeding.

If any of these apply, your provider will recommend adjusting the timing or choosing a different treatment to keep you safe.

Venus Viva™ works best as a planned series of treatments so your skin can build collagen steadily over time.

Initial Series: Most patients require 3–5 sessions to achieve noticeable skin resurfacing. More severe acne scarring may require up to 6 sessions.

Timing Between Visits: Sessions are typically scheduled 4–6 weeks apart. This gives your skin time to heal, renew, and respond to treatment before you come back.

Maintaining My Venus Viva Results

Collagen remodelling is an ongoing process. Collagen production usually peaks about 3–4 months after your final Venus Viva™ session, and results often continue to improve for several months.

To keep your skin looking its best:

Maintenance Treatments: Plan one maintenance session every 6–12 months to stay ahead of natural ageing and sun damage.

Daily Sun Protection: Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every day. Consistent sun protection helps preserve the new collagen your skin has created.

Medical-Grade Skincare: Use topical retinoids, vitamin C serums, and peptide-based products as directed. These support cell renewal and help you maintain and enhance your Venus Viva™ results.
